This is a project that I have worked between 2011-2016 about labor children in Istanbul. Some children were Turkish, some where refugee kids from Syria and some were Gypsy children. Children in the photos are between 4-14 years old. They were mostly working on recycling area. Collecting bottles and cardboards to sell to the companies and get little amount of money. Primary education is compulsory in Turkey, so most of them go to school. They especially work very hard at summer holiday. They also work weekends and week days after school.
