Rassvet Teams With Pushkin Museum for Arty Capsule
The launch ties in with the June 19 debut of the "Shchukin: Biography of a Collection" at the Moscow museum and features shirts and skateboards decorated with works by Gauguin.
Gosha Rubchinsky’s buzzy skate label Rassvet has embarked on a cultural collaboration, creating a limited-edition capsule collection with the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. Nine pieces — three shirts and six skateboards featuring paintings by Gauguin — will be offered for sale beginning June 22, tying in with the June 19 opening of the “Shchukin: Biography of a Collection” exhibition at the Moscow museum. The launch will be celebrated Tuesday evening with an event at the CDG Trading Museum in Paris.
The idea of collaboration based on the Paul Gauguin story. He was known as a savage during his lifetime. There is even a book ‘The Writings of a Savage’ by Paul Gauguin.
While skaters usually recognized as modern savages – we decided to promote the exhibition using that similarity.
