Photo Design IV
Prof. Maureen France
Series of photographs taken using a traditional 4x5 (large format) camera.
I chose to photograph a small neighborhood east of downtown Cincinnati named Mount Adams,
home to Rookwood Pottery, Cincinnati Art Museum, Playhouse in the Park, Immaculata Church, as well
as an assortment of residential areas, bars and restaurants. The photos in the book reflect the residential, commercial, and religious buildings that comprise Mt. Adams' tight-knit community in addition to its unparalleled panoramic views and steep, winding streets.
Each photograph was taken at f/22 in order to utilize the camera's ability to capture incredible detail
and depth of field. Once developed, scanned and printed, they were mounted in a hand-bound book
for final presentation.
