Like most pigeons, Willard spends his life in a manner that is... amusingly simple. Yet he has dedicated his life as an exaggerated metaphor for our own ...Or maybe he's just a joke that goes over people's heads.
I have always had a love for visual narrative and short films so when the opportunity came along, I decided to finally execute an idea that had been lingering in my head for half a year. The film was animated frame-by-frame in Photoshop over 6 months while I also worked on other projects.

Easter Eggs

Throughout the short, there are a few little things you may not have noticed. Such as in the window scene, after Willard hits the glass, the alarm clock turns from 1:00 to L:OL. If you look closely, some birds on the bird-themed wallpaper are pooping. And for that deep, artsy foreshadowing, on the shelf there is a toy model of a car and the flowers in the vase are wilted and dead
To promote the film, I created "Missing Pigeon" posters that plastered the streets of Toronto and New York. In the scene with the hand-turkey, Willard appears above a Missing Pigeon poster in the corner.
