The Journey started from Kathmandu to Siliguri in an overnight bus that played
South Indian movie in 'Christoper Nolan' style.
Siliguri felt like 'Sauna' to us. We got a jeep ride to Gangtok, Sikkim.
Gangtok was an amazing experience, people there were super hospitable and the food there is awesome. The best part was exploring MG road and Kudos to sharing Cab.

A couple of days spent here and it was not enough.
Will be back someday would love to visit Tsomgo Lake.
We left for Siliguri and got on an overnight bus to Kolkata.
Ah! The bus ride was a rollercoaster ride, the sleeper section was a bummer.
The shitty thing about the bus ride was; we get to pee only if the bus driver wanted to pee. Also, the never-ending chain of horns that tuned classic songs like 'Dhoom', 'Nagin' and so on. We counted the horns all the way to the 'City of Joy'.
The main motto of our trip was to meet our friend Reetam. Reetam if you are reading this 'I hope you still have the whole album of Rascal Flatts'.
Kolkata has this amazing essence. Even though the street was filled with water everything was calm and people were chilling as it was their daily chores.
So much to see in Kolkata, we started our exploration traveled everywhere in
a Yellow Ambassador Taxi and also in a metro train.
Howrah Bridge or Rabinra Setu is pleasing to stroll around,
the Hooghly river and its tales are mesmerizing.
Prinsep Ghat is fancy with all the lights and the street food, the cool thing about the trip was visiting a shop in 'The Park Street' where they had all the vintage items.
We ate lavishly, we ordered most of the things that we have never heard of but 'Biryani' was my favorite among all. Reetam's mum prepared a special dinner for us, the fish gravy was so flavorsome, Its the best thing that I ate there. Robic was so fond of 'Mishti Doi' he even got a couple of em before we left Kolkata. It was kind of an emotional moment as we said our goodbyes to Reetam. Hope we all have a reunion soon.
The ride back to Siliguri was not that harsh as getting to Kolkata was.
We then decided to visit Darjeeling. Hoping to see the tea garden, Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, eat lots of MoMos and yeah see the pack of White Wolves in the Zoo.
The ride of Siliguri to Darjeeling was a memorable one the scenic view and the moment where we though a passenger was dead who was traveling with us, the driver stopped the Jeep and figured out he was drunk and passed out. A fellow passenger managed a room for us and he promised to visit us but he never did, I guess he was drunk too.
The view from our room was sensational, we figured out that the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway was closed for a reason unknown, we didn't see the tea garden but we did eat lots of Momos also, visited Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park to see a pack of White Wolves.
There was a time that we went broke and have to collect coins to eat breakfast.
I still remember we shared a single plate of 'Puri Tarkari'.
Well by the help of people back home we finally got some cash in our hands and then
we went shopping spent more than 70% of it.
We had high hopes about Dargeeling but it was still fun to hunt for Momos.
We took a Jeep to Illam from there and visited Kanyam.
The sad thing about the trip was booking a bus ride home from Jhapa, we were told it was an AC bus but we had to travel on a local bus all cramped not knowing where the bus leads. The bus dropped us to Chandranigahapur around 3 AM. We had to wait for the jeep ride home which was set to arrive at 7 AM in the morning. We rested on a Khatiya where people use to display fruits on the roadside.
The jeep finally arrived around 7.30 AM and well I slept all the way to Balkhu and finally, we are home.
We left on July 16th, 2015 and got back on July 26th, 2015.
Well, you will be wondering why this late. I'd say to saving\refreshing the memories and was also waiting to develop the films.

Until we meet again. 'So close, no matter how far. Couldn't be much more from the heart. Forever trusting who we are And nothing else matters'. (Nothing Else Matters - Metallica)
From left: Me, Robic, Reetam and Aneel.
Thank you all for being a part of our Journey.
