Created for primary immunodeficiency (PI) patients and their families, this quarterly publication informs young readers on serious topics related to their disease state in a fun and friendly way.
The magazine is broken up into two main sections, kids and teen. There is also an insert included for grown-ups to read. I was primarily in charge of art directing, designing, and creating games for the teen section, which debuted in the spring of 2012 and comprises the last half of the publication. The magazine has a circulation of nearly 4,000 copies a season and has been received with great success as an educational and empowering tool for children, teens and adults with PI.
