Kiss A Ginger Day | Typographical Poster

This project that began in-mid June was based around the idea of designing a typographical poster that would help promote the unofficial holiday known as Kiss A Ginger Day, by the way of a visual style that combines minimalism and simplicity together.

As you will see, the final outcome consists of basic centre-aligned text that has been partly covered by numerous hair strands, presented in a negative space-style of effect, alongside other hair strands that float around the text rather than on top of it.

Also included are patterns of the letter “x” posing as verbal symbols for the act of kissing, as well as lighting gradients alongside a grain texture in order to help push away from a look that I felt would appear too flat, or too polished for my own personal liking.
