Amsamam - An Identity Design Project

This was part of a Symbol Design course I took at the National Institute of Design. The project was about conceptualising a hypothetical design firm of our own. The identity below is for a design firm that caters to the most human centric needs of the world. Along with work that spans from print media to well designed web solutions the firm ocassionally also takes up projects that help and support social causes.

The name of the firm - 'Amsamam' is the arabic word for design, a language and a culture I admire. Why did I choose the name? Well, its catchy and people end up talking about it!
The basic single colour identity
A motif designed using the Arabic letterforms that appear in the name of the firm when written in Arabic script.
These when merged gave rise to an interesting form.
