The first oil painting in a few decades, I am happy so far. In that I can see the great challenge ahead but I understand how to work through and get back to painting again. It’s hard not to draw with the paint for one thing. And for another I think I need to do more underpainting I’m committing to the final image too soon. That said I am using no under drawing at all, just working with the medium to see what’s there.
