The theme of Adobe’s 2019 Pride celebrations is centered around intersectionality and interconnectedness, and is anchored by the slogan “Better Together,” a message that Micah Rivera, designer behind the visual finds very powerful: “It speaks to me and to the heart of the queer community, as well as the broader ally community of Adobe. This is obviously for Adobe’s celebrations of Pride, but I like that there’s an intersection of us as queer people and the people around us: the chosen family many queer people have, and the relationships we have with colleagues, whether they are in queer communities or not—it’s inclusive of all of them.”
Bay Area native Micah Rivera is Lead Designer for Spot, an All Turtles product that helps employees anonymously report harassment and discrimination in the workplace. A former Brand Designer and Art Director, Micah joined the Spot team in 2018 because its mission mirrors his own dedication to direct impact work that elevates the voices of underrepresented demographics. As a proud trans-man of color, he feels passionate about the responsibility of designers in creating inclusive and intersectional work. Micah actively designs and engages in critical dialogue around these issues both in his professional and personal design practice. He’s also a happy new dad with his own personal artistic practice—in other words, he’s a busy guy. But he recently added an identity-design commission project to his very full plate because it was too meaningful to say no to.

Celebrating together. Our offices around the world hosted their own Pride celebrations. Newton held a "Better Together" happy hour where "Better Together" logo was broken into pieces and employees colored the separate segments only to put them back together again. The end product was a beautiful and uniques piece that showcased what great things can happen when we all come and work together.
