The three designs above were made for a book about a widowed mother. My aim was to provide two photographic options and one illustrative. I wanted to provide different moods. For example, the cover in the middle places more emphasis on the tragedy of the situation, where as the cover on the left has a more optimistic outlook. The only stipulation was that I incorporated a photo that the author had provided- a photo of leaf that had a heart-shaped hole in it.
