ROSEBUD, AUSTRALIA—Every one of us often wishes to escape in a peaceful island where someone can totally disconnect from city sounds. Jimmy's new Mental Health Centre offers quiet solitude while retaining openness, situated between an industrial and commercial surrounding.

Currently 1 out of 4 young Australians are at risk of a serious mental illness. At Jimmy’s they'll have the opportunity to strengthen their mental, physical and emotional health. It will be a refuge for disadvantaged youth to encourage their reconnection by providing a safe, nurturing environment.

The centre will be managed by YMCA, and aims to help youngsters to get on the right track.

The internal spaces of Jimmy’s Youth Wellbeing Sanctuary are connected by an internal courtyard. Simply looking around here will have a positive impact on your mental state. It's a beautiful scenery for meditation. See the shadows and the lights that bring diversity to the inner space and how CO-OP Studio’s design creates a dialogue between the interior and exterior spaces.

We believe it will be the most exciting place to be found in Rosebud, Australia.
