I was inspired by an article from The New York Times that listed all the candidates running for president in 2020. It includes 21 Democrats and 2 Republicans. There’s so many that it’s comical. This reminded me of a tweet that mentioned how there are enough people to make the election process a super smash bros style battle royal and that this could be the answer for electoral reform. I thought it was genius because the idea is hilarious, but through satire, it also makes the more serious point that the current electoral process could be improved. This video was my opportunity to try and bring the idea to life with my own twist.

This was my first experience using Adobe Premiere. In creating this project, I learned how to use the chroma key technique, regulate volume and keep it consistent, and how to layer still images over a video in a way that preserves the integrity of the media.
