Objective:
I worked with Beth previous to her contracting me to produce her logo and business cards. She had ventured out after leaving her previous position to pursue a life of travel and blogging. Hence ‘Beth Travels’. She came to me asking for something similar to another designers work. I mentioned to her that this designer was one of my favourite independent Toronto based designers! The project kicked off to a good start.
Concept:
Similarly to what this other Toronto-designer has produced, she wanted something simple but with a
‘deco’ feel to it. She was looking to travel around and hand out her cards to people interested in her travels.
So she wanted something memorable while resembling travel. I was inspired by a font I actually bought for
another project although did not end up using. This font was perfect for this project!
Obstacles:
My biggest challenge with the project was it had only one round of revisions. I felt as though the project ran too smoothly, if that's possible. I have never had a client approve after the first round of logos.
I honestly added the second round just to refine and make sure everything was to my standards.
