This series of illustrations is inspired and based off of the Indian Cricket Team which is playing the Cricket World Cup this year in England. As a huge supporter and follower, I was heavily motivated to create a dedicated series. Each of these 7 illustrations has references or easter eggs about the character.

Front-line opener for India. Bet you have lesser 200 rupee notes in your wallet than the 200s in his stats. D̶a̶m̶n̶ ̶d̶e̶m̶o̶n̶e̶t̶i̶z̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶. It's ironic that the best timer of the ball in the team is also the one to frequently run behind the team bus.
Shikhar Dhawan
Although his first love is from Australia, he can't quite keep away from the grounds of England. Another victim of irony. Must feel quite special to be the only left handed batsman in the team. Desperately wants a mustache comb endorsement.
Virat Kohli
A man of many faces. Known to let loose all of his raw emotions in the cricket ground, he shows no resilience. Fastest to 10000 runs in ODIs. #1 ranked batsman in the world. The attractive wife plus attractive batting combo is a package sought by every 13 year old boy in India. He will probably be the only man in the country to be so strongly but equally loved and hated when he surpasses Sachin's records.
MS Dhoni
The greatest Indian captain who retired from captaincy. The fastest hands in the East. Whatever conditioning system he has installed in his head, boy do I need that to combat my 45° summers. Humbly bows and his head and smoothly goes about his business as if there ain't no trouble in the world even though we're 5 wickets down and have a sad 25 runs. We watch him on our screens hundreds of kilometers away and sweat way more for the situations he is in than he ever does. We don't realize what we will miss.
Ravindra Jadeja
Arguably the best fielder in the world. Adjectives pertaining to a certain ferociously fast cat might embody him. Some might argue that his attribute of speed originates from his rapid spamming of our feed with selfies. The knighthood took him in quickly as well as he has earned the title of "Sir". Fortune tellers say that he is on the verge of time travel, or is that why he is always so fit?
The Spin Twins ~ Yuzvendra Chahal & Kuldeep Yadav
The backbone of India's evolution to leg spin in the past few years. This left/right combination has shared a number of accomplishments. One is always there to pick up after the other. Together they have amassed over 150 wickets in the last two years. Let's hope that the sharing stops at their bowling.
Jasprit Bumrah
Lightning accuracy and speed. India's bowling had a drought in quality seamers, and so this man is treasured. #1 ranked bowler in ODIs. Knowing my fellow Indians, scientists have already studied his unorthodox action in unnecessary depth and have published why it is the "perfect method" for all future Indian talent.
