BLACKWATER

Blackwater diving are night dives above deep waters, sometimes up to thousands of meters of depth. Every night tons of pelagic animals and in larval status to the surface to feed in the nutrient rich shallow waters. This is maybe the largest vertical migration of animals on earth. The animals are attracted by the lights of the divers. The dives are usually not deeper than 30, mostly between five and 15 meters.
