ЗАМЫСЛЫ (RU: CONCEPTS) №4
Замыслы is a magazine dedicated to modern theatre in its historical perspective. Issue #4 tells the story of the house number 20 on Povarskaya street, which was the centre of Moscow bohemian life for almost a century. The list of its residents include such people as Bella Akhmadullina (a famous Russian poetess), Anatoly Vasiliev (a principle figure in the "DAU" project creation), Alexander Kaydanovsky (Tarkovsky‘s movies‘ star) and many others.
The magazine includes six chapters. each of them tells the story of a resident except the first one, which is about the house itself. Each chapter‘s grid is based on the grid of the ceiling in the room occupied by a resident, whose story is told in the chapter. Ceiling of the first chapter is the ceiling of the main hall.
The members of the magazine crew have been residents of the building for three years and is now moving out. That is why the cover has the phrase "here were the concepts" (здесь были «замыслы») written on it with transparent ink during the performance held on the magazine presentation party.
