The Labyrinth of Knossos

"The Labyrinth of Knossos" is a game that I designed in Virtual Reality (VR) - with strong connections to the Ancient Minoan Culture.

I've always had a deep fascination with Ancient History - and this year I was lucky enough to be able to explore that using VR. The whole game is based around the longstanding myth that a labyrinth existed underneath the Palace of Knossos in Crete, and in this labyrinth lived a minotaur. The audience needs to find their way out of the maze without getting lost, however as the game progresses this gets harder to do as the maze gets tighter, passageways begin to look the same, and the atmosphere becomes more and more scary.

I wanted to delve into that majestic yet eerie vibe that the Ancient World gives off, and really bring a myth to life.

The whole project is based off a coin minted in Crete in 300BC that depicts the labyrinth.
