Soapbox is a project aimed at tackling the restrictions placed on the public in the privately owned public spaces of London.
Through the use of Bluetooth beacons protestors are able to place digital placards that others can view when in proximity to the Soapboxes.
All of the Soapboxes are completely 3D printed on consumer printers allowing for easy small scale production.
Testing how to manufacture the Soapboxes was one of the main priorities of the project, after testing snap fits, threads and other joining possibilities I found printing over the beacon to be the most resilient design.
Simple packaging provides instructions on how users can set up and use their Soapboxes.
