The main aim of this presentation is to give some information on Turkish Wooden Art in
Anatolia particularly “Kündekâri” and to introduce new concepts for the conservation of
kündekâri wooden artefacts.
“Kündekâri” is a technique used for the wooden elements which consists of geometrically shaped
small pieces of wood that are interlaced with each other by special joint details without using any nails or glue.
