2,587,354 acres of public land have been permanently protected under the Obama Administration for national parks, monuments, wilderness areas, etc. Of those, 186,077 acres were protected administratively.
6,314,904 acres (an area slightly larger than VERMONT) of public land have been leased for oil and gas drilling under the Obama Administration.
