Hidden under the dense canopies of a mango orchard sits 4 tents and two cottages with a dining and a pantry. The orchard experience was the driving force behind the design, we had to surrender to trees to guide us with our intervention. There was just one condition from our client, ‘the built spaces should look as they belong to this place.’

The trees showed us where to build and where no to. This is where our journey with functional landscape began, we used the canopies and their shade as thermal barrier for the uncompromising summer and winter in Kachchh.
