Raise millennials’ awareness about the potential threat of social media addiction.
THE IDEA
INSTAMAGOTCHI is a virtual pet living in a mobile app.
It connects with your Facebook and Instagram and it feeds with your reactions, video views, shares and your online time.
The more you use social media, the more INSTAMAGOTCHI grows.
With the game completion, INSTAMAGOTCHI will notify you if it grew too fast.
It will then invite you to learn more about the risks of social media abuse,
through 18 ΑΝΩ.
The idea was inspired by Tamagotchi, the 90s pocket animal by Bandai.
Tamagotchi greedily demanded more and more of the time of Millenials’ early years,
like social media do today.
