For a University project we where given the task of reimagining and animating a childrens book for use on the ipad or other interactive ebook devices. I choose Beatrix Potters Peter Rabbit, as it is a story i grew up reading, and had won a drawing competition at the age of 7 or so for designing peter rabbits house, so thought this would be a good opportunity to go full circle and use my childhood ideas as a starting point for this project.

 

The process of hand printing and layering each image over eachother to create small little animation sequences did become quite laborious, and it was definitely not the easiest style of illustration to animate, however i am happy with the final images, and have learnt alot and furthered my interest in flash animation.
