This is Not a Rainbow
As is well known, the month of June was chosen for LGBTQ Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969. As a result, many pride events are held during this month to recognize the impact LGBTQ people have had in the world. That's the reason why we decided to paint illustrations to convey the meaning of a single rainbow color on its early concepts.
Just as Baker said, “The rainbow is so perfect because it fits our diversity in terms of race, gender, ages, all of those things. Plus, it’s a natural flag — it’s from the sky.”
