Various illustrations for a long term client, a coalition for infrastructure organizations. Their main goal was to give a little dazzle to some of their shared articles and data points. My own main goal was to get them into a style that made both of us happy while also being sustainable for me as an artist.

When I came on board over a year ago, I was stepping into the shoes of another designer who'd created a very vector-y, slick style that was closer to a lot of the stuff I would do for traditional graphic design, not illustration. This got tough for me to sustain, especially if I needed to draw organic things (people, trees, a dozen variations of the USA...), so I started introducing more hand drawn elements into their designs over the year.

By the turn of 2019, we had entered full blown hand illustration territory. The client seems really happy to just let me keep doing more abstract work and I've developed a much better style to keep me entertained on a brief that sometimes calls for upwards of a dozen illustrations a month.

Below are some of my favorites.
