Bauhaus Museum, Dessau, design 2015

IwamotoScott took part in the open international design competition to create a new museum for the Bauhaus. The proposed building is sited at the corner of a large park in the center of Dessau. Inspired by seminal works by key figures of the Bauhaus - including Gropius, Albers, Feininger and Schlemmer, the design creates a kind of 'projected space' that loops together permanent and changing exhibitions, while orchestrating a connective network of movement patch between the building, park and urban fabric.
