Geometric Butterfly Concept
When I challenged myself to sketch at least a pattern each day, I looked around my house to find inspiration. I glanced up to see two butterfly artwork that caught my eye a few years ago from Ross store; I had to have it. They were hanging on the wall above the fireplace in my living room. By observing the beautiful shapes of the wings, I decided to look at it in a geometric perspective.
I sketched the butterflies (as shown below) and created my artwork in Illustrator. I was pleasantly surprised on how the geometric shapes had helped me draw the butterfly the way it should look like in its body structure. It looks so beautiful and simple; it was a personal pattern project I really enjoyed the most because I am a butterfly lover.
