This book was done for a practice project. The book starts out with a series of sketches for both the cover and the pages. Once the appropriate sketches are chosen the creation of the book can begin. The front, back, and inside covers were made in Illustrator. I went with a light blue background for the entire book cover to better match the logo of Secretariats racing mask since it was a simple and recognizable logo for the audience. A checkered like design of dark blue and white across the upper part of the entire book as with the inside to create better contrast but also to keep in theme with the book. Both book and author statements were put on a blue outline square with a white background to make it more visual for the eyes. Along with the statement, a picture of Secretariat was introduced to create space balance within the book. The rest of the illustrative drawings are done in Illustrator. The pictures are prep and fix using Photoshop while InDesign was used for word and sentence placement.
