Sudanese Postage Stamps

The purpose of this project was to design typography-based postage stamps for Sudan. It was inspired by the African country's people, rich history and unique geography.

The first set of stamps is inspired by the beads that Sudanese tribes wear as jewelry, and the colors are inspired by tribal clothes. Sudan also has more than 200 pyramids that were built by Nubian kings and queens to serve as their tombs, and the second set of postage stamps is inspired by those pyramids. This third set symbolizes Sudan's geography, which is characterized by both lakes and deserts. The country's geography is unique in the way that if a person is traveling from one area to another, they can witness the changing terrains and lands from being rich and fertile to being dry and desert-like.
