THE HAPPINESS PROJECT
A collection of habits that help improve life in every aspect
Meditate every morning. Start your day with silence. It’s not about focussing one’s thoughts on one thing, but instead on becoming thoughtless. Taking 10-20 minutes out a day is better than not doing it at all. Small efforts do make a big difference.
Find moments to check in with yourself. Ask yourself: "What’s wrong, what’s right or good or bad or unsettling or uncomfortable?” . When it seems like there's no solution, ask yourself: "Can I do something about it to change my attitude?".
There are more benefits to hitting the pool than simply cooling off on a hot day. Swimming has been called the perfect exercise. After all, you can get all of the benefits of an aerobic workout without any damaging impact on joints.
We are living in a society with an increasing availability of information. We are bombarded with images throughout all forms of communication technology. Reading is an underrated activity. But it’s becoming more important. You’ll improve your concentration spans and learn how to be more discerning in the face of so much information.
From making you happier to helping you live longer, regular exercise is key to living a healthy, balanced life.
