About:
I’m obsessed with math, ok wait let’s start that one over. I like math and I’m a kind of a geek if it comes to history and culture. When I had to design a type font, I restricted myself to the Arab typography rules. For instance, the line of the letter is not allowed to end declined; it should be even with its surface or rise, but never decline. Then there was the other aspect of not making it an Arabic caricature . I wanted it to be serious, as a kind of homage to the Arabic culture. A font that you could use at Dubai’s airport instead of Helvetica.
