First Date
Concept
My concept for this animation was to capture the feelings, emotions, and actions associated with preparing for a first date. The content was divided into side-by-side animations of the two characters prior to them interacting and then transitioned into a single image composition once the two characters met up for their date.
Process
I began by brainstorming ideas through free writing and a mind map. Next, I located style inspiration, created a mood board, and designed a storyboard. I recorded reference footage, designed style frames, and selected background music. This project was animated using Adobe Photoshop and composited in After Effects.
