NATURAL MONSTER - logo & identity

Natural Monster is the brand name of a young and ambitious bodybuilder and online fitness trainer from Čakovec, Croatia. Vedran Glavina takes pride in his body and hard work that has lead him to his current undertaking of becoming a online fitness coach. When he was 15 years old he became the state powerlifting champion in Virovitica, and set a record in that category. So that needed to reflect in the logo : Pride and hard work.

Mission:

The logo had to own up to the reputation of the client. In consequence of that, this logo was designed. A lion is know to be the most prideful animal in the animal kingdom so it was only logical to incorporate it in the logo. The dumbell weight in it's mouth represents the intensity of the brand and makes for a sick combo with the lion's head. A slick and professional monogram was also added with the logo.

Inspired by the gymnasium.

The colors for the brand were inspired by the gym environment. When thinking what the image of Natural Monster stands for I noticed how the whole surrounding of this physical activity is full of grey iron tones- ranging from light to dark. This served as a great basis for establishing solid and intense perceptions associated with the brand.

Bringing the face of a champion to

the front for everyone to see.

Humans have coexisted for thousands of years through face to face contact. The best way to build trust among one another was to simply look at each others face. So when thinking how to build trust and reliance with clients, I looked at these core values of social interaction.

Not many entrepreneurs or projects have a literal face on their business cards - rightfully so. You are risking being perceived as pretentious or arrogant. Why would anyone want that? Well, you see.. Vedran is not like the rest. He doesn't go into anything casually or half-heartedly. He isn't afraid of raising a few eyebrows, if it means making a difference in his professional image from mediocre to proud and confident.
