Apex Legends has continued to take the casual and competitive battle royale game genre scene, creating a bunch of opinion pieces, educational videos and skill displaying montages by countless amounts of Youtube content creators. And I am happy to be part of it with yet again helping a fellow content creator Frothy with his video productions in Apex Legends, featuring a F to A tier list of all of the weapons within the game Apex Legends.

The process of developing these assets was very much the same as the previous project of producing the assets of the Legends in Apex Legends. By using the base colour of the weapon skin and paneling as the base to use as the recolour to the Ammunition Type that each individual weapon uses. As for the hardened metal, barrel, internals, and other exterior panelling or exposed metals those are changed to black. This is all done in combination of layering, cutouts and subtractions from many elements to create these weapons.
Each weapon was done in the same fashion as the Legends, taking a screenshot of them in default skins or bright coloured low tier variations of the default to distinguish any mechanical parts from exterior. After getting a favorable screen grab, it was imported into Adobe Illustrator, trace vectored over the screenshot, colourized each individual weapon based on the color of their respective ammunition types, and exported in 4K resolution .PNG format for Frothy to use in his video production as his video editor, Sony Vegas, is not able to leverage the scalability of Illustrator file imports.
