So Much Fun
An Ah Guo Special Exhibition
Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre
To design the exhibition, spatial setup, exhibition graphics and collaterals for Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC)’s Chinese New Year special exhibition with artist Ah Guo, that conveys the child-like and imaginative spirit of Ah Guo’s artworks.
The design of the exhibition concept was to extrapolate the innocent, child-like universe that Ah Guo has created for his characters to inhabit, into the exhibition gallery, and allow for audience and Ah Guo’s fans to feel like they have physically entered into Ah Guo’s watercolour world.
The use of oversized scale and humble cardboard materials evoke childhood memories of imaginative play using simple things like a cardboard box, allowing adults and children alike to return to a time when they were young and carefree.
