In Photography II, I was assigned a project in which I had to tell a story using sequential imagery. That week, I was moving my old childhood bedroom furniture into the garage since my family was giving it away. I used this opportunity to form a narrative, and separated my photos into two groups. The photos on the left were meant to tell a more direct story about my reflection and final goodbye to this pile of furniture before leaving them for good. The photos on the right were meant to tell an indirect story about the furniture itself and what it’s been through. I chose to stack the photo prints on top of each other to reinforce a sense of sequentiality and echo the stacked forms of the broken down furniture.
