Rivers play an extremely intrinsic part in the culture of our country given that India is home to 7 rivers. Unfortunately, our rivers are turning into channels of waste, carrying various forms of plastic garbage dumped by us into the oceans and seas. This is our attempt at re-purposing rivers and giving its original identity back. We have designed a modular river cleanup system that captures floating and sedimentary plastic waste present in the river. The design does not hinder the pre-existing infrastructure present on and around the river for eg. bridges. It’s modular and adaptable design enables easy maintenance.
