BOSTANCI HIGHLAND
The social center was designed for the residents of Bostancı, Istanbul. As the region is famous for its sea baths in the past, a new design idea inspired by the sea baths was put forward. The inhabitants of the region used the sea baths to socialize and have fun in the past, and the designed social center building was considered as a social hub where today's residents could socialize.
It was decided to restore the 500-year-old stone bridge (named Bostancıbaşı Köprüsü) from the time of the Ottoman Empire. The old creek was rebuilt and established a bond between the social center and the historical bridge.
