Simple movement. Honest. Trusting. I do not sketch nor do I try to create a preconcieved notion as to what will become. In that way, each step is a discovery of what is becoming, not what I am forcing and fighting to make my own. I do not own the strokes. I do not own the concept even. The image only makes sense after stepping away and examining the direction of the piece. Most of the work is hidden, undiscoverable without true reflection. Hidden images. It makes the viewer have to take a closer look at what they are really seeing. LOOK FOR YOURSELF. The images are not force fed, like most images we are in constantly taking in. I believe this approach to viewing a simple painting, if applied to how we as people view each other, could drastically change the current climate of our existence.l
