When I decided to develop my self-promo studio branding, I had to start from the beginning – finding a name that fits in with my vision of a studio that isn’t confined to just a single discipline. I wanted something different. Something authentic...
After a month of back and forth, I finally found my different authenticity. My surname has the beautiful word ‘Huizen’ hidden right there in it. It means ‘Houses’ in Dutch - quite fitting for a studio that isn’t confined to one specific discipline, don’t you think?
So I took my surname, my heritage and mashed it together with my Afrikaans language. I give you …
huiz.
Now I love my surname! Together Photography huiz, Illustration huiz and Design huiz forms the building blocks for Studio huiz.
