Branding Project for A Traditional Bakery in Rural Area | 日常 Routine
「日常Routine」 is a traditional bakery locate in rural area, in Kuala Lipis, Pahang.
It has over 20 year's history. However, most of its product are almost pack inside a
transparent plastic bag which is without a brand name and brand identity until today.
This may cause their products are only recognize by
the local people but the outsider may not familiar of it.
The project is aim to help rural folks to gain deeper understanding and
knowledge towards branding by create a brand identity for the bakery.
/ Concept
Everything start from a line.
The shape of line is like a rolling dough. While baker roll a dough,
it can form into different kind of shape and make into different bread.
The process is same as design process, a line can create many types of design and artwork.
A kid character is using in the logo design, as kid represent pure happiness.
The color usage is choosing a lighter and warm color to enhance the feel of fun and energetic atmosphere.
/ Brand Story
From the bakery owner's memory, he reveals that the most
happiest moment is making bread with his mother during his childhood.
He learn from basic, start from mixing the ingredients, to making and baking process.
He make bread after school everyday and it has become the daily routine in his life,
this is how the brand name come from.
The building shown in the illustration is a famous historical building
in Kuala Lipis which built during British colonial period.
Children represent pure happiness.
He hopes everyone who come to the store not only to eat
but also spend happy time with friends and family and enjoy relaxing moment in that place.
The background story of the owner is transform into illustration and apply onto other promotional item and merchandises.
