For this project, the class had to do a monogram for the eldest member of their family. After gathering information about both my Grandad and Nanny, I decided to do my final monogram on my Nanny.
I got inspiration from an advertisement used for the shoe factory she used to work in when she was younger. The advertisement reminded me of nature and how my Nanny loves gardening. I decided to go with the 70s like design for my monogram background.
For the ‘SM’ writing, I chose to do cursive as down through the years, my Nanny has always written in cursive writing. Pairing the cursive writing and the nature inspired background, I felt that this monogram was the perfect representation of my Grandmother.
