The 15mm Super-Wide Heliar !
On Film astandard 28mm lens is wide-angle, which makes this 15mm Super-Wide, hence thename. Imagine standing less than a meter from another person and still be ableto get him in the frame from head to toe. It's that wide. Plus it's Aspherical(non-fisheye).
The greatthing about this lens is the perspective you'll get, even in the most mundanescenes. Which is all great but also means you'll have to find some veryinteresting scenes. It's not like you can just zoom in to the interesting partand shoot it. Interestingness has to be in- and work together in, the full 110degree angle of view. Which can be quitehard.
I recently bought this extremely nice classic film camera,which goes by the brand Voigtlander. They've been making classic film camera'sfor a while now, they still are and probably will be for a long time. They useeither the 'Leica M' or 'Leica screw' mount on their camera's to be able to fitthe popular Leica lenses, which are highly popular with the more artisticphotographers, collectors or if you just want the best ! The downside with thisquality Leica equipment is the price, everything with a Leica logo stamped onit is very very expensive. Voigtlander on the other hand is not. This 15mmf/5.6 cost me about 250 euro (mint condition), and it was even a specialedition. Check ebay.com for '15mm leica' if you are curious about the pricing.In the end what Leica does, only Leica can do, but Voigtlander gets damn close.They have a impressive line-up with some already legendary lenses, not onlyworking great but also looking great if you dig this kind of thing. You willcertainly get your money's worth. I certainly did.
