Hackney Wick FC anti- knife crime football match

We worked closely with the incredible Bobby Kasanga and his community football initiative @hackneywickfc over the past few years to help raise awareness about their anti-knife crime charity football match which took place last summer at the community track in @londonstadium, just opposite our studio.

The match involved two teams made up of a mix of players from HWFC and assorted leading lights from the UK rap and grime community. It was a fantastic evening with an amazing turnout, a lovely atmosphere and summery vibe. The match was a scintillating 5-5 draw with Bobby’s team in white the eventual winners after a tense penalty shootout.

We created a promotional and awareness campaign for the event - designing flyers, posters and social media posts. There was invaluable help provided by @jack_agency in ensuring the campaign got seen by as wider audience as possible on a shoestring budget. We also designed the kits worn by both teams on the night. The amazing Luis and his team at @tottenhamtextiles helped us produce and print the kits, and look out for some exciting limited edition tees.

For us this was only the beginning of a long term partnership with Bobby, Hackney Wick FC and The Wickers charity - as we aim to support them in their mission to provide opportunities and positive role models for young people in the local area.

And last but not least A MASSIVE THANK YOU to our go-to guy for when photographic genius is required. Gary Morrisroe for taking these beautiful pictures of the match as well as the sensational portraits of the players you can see in the campaign creative. See more on @garymorrisroe ✊ UP THE WICKERS ✊
