Wake up call

This is an artwork created to show the linkage between fiction and reality. I decided to present the social problems by using quotes as an extraction of the story.
With the increasing amount of dystopian fiction created, I found that these dystopian environments in fictional worlds are based on reality. The adversities faced by the characters are all too familiar to us but only in a more exaggerated way. An often overlooked function of fictions is that they predict the future of a problematic society and show us the consequences of our actions. These stories are not just pure fantasies and entertainment. It is time we start to notice that and do something about it.
