Tec Review Magazine
For the May / June edition of the Tec Review Magazine in Mexico, we were commissioned to collaborate with Grupo Expansión in the development of the cover and interior illustrations of the main article of the magazine, under the art direction by Adriana Peña.

The graphic concept was developed around the current popularity and success of the collaborative robot YuMi, developed by the company ABB, which is able to work closely with humans and to quickly learn from them. One of the fears and dilemmas planted in the article is whether this type of robots will replace jobs and produce unemployment; while on the other hand they have shown to be the "best friends" of humans when performing difficult, repetitive, limited access tasks, in which a human would put their live at risk.

In the different illustrations, we represented a friendly robot, able to identify what is inside transparent glasses, or moving a piece through a copper tube, and even reproducing the movements of an orchestra conductor; all with the intention of asking: will they really be as intelligent and friendly as we think?
