It's not about the story. It's about the storytelling.
MA Thesis Project based on the film of Wes Anderson, "The Grand Budapest Hotel"
This project aims to reflect a whole film on a printed object, the book.
Following a schedule of research on cinema and films, visual narratives and storytelling, editorial design and books, with a series of experimentations on the printed medium, the final project is designed; a book that aims to reflect a complex visual narrative of the film "The Grand Budapest Hotel", chosen for this purpose.
By examining the fundamentals of graphic design and cinema separately and united, and then by applying them to the printed medium, under the guidance of communication design proverbs, an exploration on both mediums leads to the creation of a book that focuses on mirroring as liberally as possible, the bond between visual storytelling in cinema and the book.
