La definizione “Oggetti divergenti”, è presa in prestito dalla teoria del pensiero divergente di J.P. Guilford, secondo cui, il pensiero divergente rappresenta la capacità di produrre soluzioni alternative ad una data questione, ed è correlato alla creatività. Lo studio della poesia visiva e soprattutto l’analisi del design, ha fatto sì che concepissi dei collages di oggetti, più o meno possibili, il cui focus è una diversa idea di funzionalità. Riviste e cataloghi sono diventati il campo da gioco di una caccia al tesoro: un materiale, una texture, un colore; che potessero essere utili alla creazione dei miei oggetti. Per quanto riguarda la definizione formale del libro, è stata importante l’esperienza de Le Macchine di Munari. Ho fatto in modo che il layout, fosse dinamico e scandisse i tempi della lettura. La poetica di Italo Calvino rappresenta l’altro fondamentale tassello per l’elaborazione del lavoro. Non è un caso che le città invisibili: “sogno nato dal cuore delle città invivibili”, costituiscano anch’esse nella loro concezione fantastica, un atto di design sensibile.
Ho infine cercato di accogliere l’invito di Calvino: Leggerezza, come risposta alla pesantezza della vita nel mondo umano.
The definition “divergent objects” is borrowed by the theory of the divergent thinking of J.P. Guilford. The divergent thinking represent the capability to achieve alternative solutions to a given issue, it’s related to the creativity. The study of the visual poetry and the design mostly, let me make collages of more and less possibles objects, with a different idea of functionality. I started searching materials, textures, colours, from magazines and catalogue.
Regarding the formal definition of the book, it’s been important the experience of le Macchine di Munari. I made it so the layout was dynamic and it tells the read out time. Italo Calvino represent another essential step for the elaboration of the artwork.
In the end I tried to get the message of Calvino: Lightness, as answer to the heaviness of the life in Human world.
