The story is set in Italy, from around 1910 to 1914 when the first brave aviators flew their fragile planes over more than 10000 people. After the beginning of World War I aviation would never be the same again and would stop being simply a sport for intrepid pilots, turning into an instrument of war.

This is the very first version of this story that I drew years ago and that inspired me to look further for real stories about Italian aviators of the early XX Century. This was a very short 8 pages story that I made for a comics contest, it was drawn with pencil and inks on paper.
